Senior Accountant/Analyst
Job Description:
Signet Armorlite, Inc., located in San Marcos, CA, is the originator of the plastic eyeglass lens in North America, and has manufactured ophthalmic lenses in California for over 50 years. We hold the exclusive license to distribute KODAK Lenses and other related products worldwide.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Analyst who will be responsible primarily for financial forecasting and planning, financial analysis, cost accounting relating to the U.S. prescription laboratory, and oversight of Mexico manufacturing cost accounting. This position will also be responsible for financial forecasting and planning.

Other responsibilities include:

*Detail analysis of unit cost and investigation and resolution of unusual variances.
*Physical inventory oversight (both cycle count procedures and full physicals for certain inventory) as well as inventory valuation analyses for both cost basis and slow moving reserves.
*Coordination of a worldwide lab manufacturing cost comparison.
*Reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts, journal entry preparation and review and financial audit support.
*Preparation of forecasted financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, etc.) based on information derived from multiple sources and departments and multiple foreign subsidiary companies.
*Prepare sales and gross margin analysis by product on a monthly basis.
*Reconcile, track and prepare documentation for foreign currency hedging contracts.
*Special projects on an as needed basis as required by VP of Finance or other members of management.

The ideal candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field and have at least 5 years related experience. Must be able to summarize and analyze data to determine reasonableness of projections based on historical data and current trends, and communicate to management in a clear and concise manner regarding the projections. Must be well versed in Excel, have familiarity with basic accounting software, and have strong communication skills (written and verbal).

We are seeking enthusiastic Sales Reps for our territories listed below to join our team of employees who sell the finest semi-finished, plastic ophthalmic lenses in the world. We hold the exclusive distributorship for KODAK Lenses worldwide. You will work an assigned territory by calling on retail customers, wholesale laboratories and integrated retailers. You will strategically plan and manage your territory/accounts to increase sales, and accomplish company objectives and monthly sales goals.

The ideal candidates will have previous sales/multi-level experience. An understanding of the dynamics of a retail optical environment is desired.
