RLXPlus® KODAK Progressive Lens Processing Information
Purpose: The following information is provided for surfacing RLXPlus KODAK lens blanks. For more detailed processing information please call Signet Armorlite Technical Services at 800-759-0075.
General: Standard surfacing procedures for coated CR-39® progressive lenses should be used for the RLXPlus KODAK lens. Call Technical Services, should you have questions or difficulties at 800-759-0075.
Blank Size: 80mm diameter blanks decentered 3.0mm provide an 86mm effective diameter.
Base and power range: 1.50, 3.00, 4.50, 6.25, and 8.25 bases will provide sphere powers from - 9.00 to + 6.00.

Removal of the Temporary Reference Marks (red printing): The Kodak temporary reference markings, designed to withstand all processing procedures, may be removed by wiping the surface with a small amount of acetone or most tint neutralizers. The marks can be removed before or after tinting thus providing an easy way to verify the edging accuracy. To remark the lens, visually locate and mark the semi-visible + symbols on the 0-180 degree axis line. The location of the + symbols can be seen by visual inspection or by fogging the lens surface to see the original reference mark location. If the printed marks were removed, use the Kodak verification mask for the final frame adjustment.
Tinting and Neutralizing: Kodak RLXPlus lenses tint and neutralize as other RLXPlus lenses using normal materials and methods. Even if the temporary lens markings are removed prior to tinting, the tinted lens must be cleaned with alcohol or acetone to remove excess dye from the surfaces.
