Feeling eyestrain, blurred vision, difficulty maintaining focus, and/or headaches?

A double blind study* shows eyestrain symptoms can be reduced by adding base in prism to the reading area of a progressive lens. The Anti-Fatigue Progressive Technology applied to KODAK Lenses is based on this concept.

Choosing the right lenses for your eyewear is an important decision you live with day after day. Your occupation and lifestyle preference are vital considerations in that choice.

When reading or doing close-up work for extended periods of time you may experience discomfort in your eyes or even headaches. These may be symptoms of eyestrain.

Review the questions down below. Consider how your eyes “generally” feel when working close-up and think about how frequently you may be experiencing these symptoms.

Only your eye doctor can diagnose and treat eyestrain. Bring in the questionnaire to your next eye exam and share it with your eye doctor to find out if you are a candidate for KODAK Lenses with Anti-Fatigue Progressive Technology.

KODAK Lenses with Anti-Fatigue Progressive Technology assist the natural binocular function of your eyes and can reduce the discomfort produced by eyestrain.

The Problem

These symptoms are often caused by convergence insufficiency, better known as eyestrain or eye fatigue. This vision problem can interfere when working at near and hinder a person’s ability to work effectively. Extreme cases of eye fatigue include headaches that start above the eyebrows and work their way towards the back, ending at the base of the neck.

When working at close range, the eyes must focus inward, a position that requires extra effort to maintain.

A Solution

KODAK Lenses with Anti-Fatigue Progressive Technology target the lens design’s near zone to assist the normal binocular function of your eyes while reading or doing near work. This eases the strain on the eye to maintain proper inward focus alleviating eyestrain symptoms. Even headaches due to eyestrain may be relieved in both intensity and frequency.

The Illinois College of Optometry did a double-blind study to measure the effectiveness of base in prism added to the reading zone of progressive lenses for subjects that suffered from eyestrain symptoms.* The results were favorable.

Ask your doctor if these lenses are a solution for you.
